Above: Photograph of my hand to draw, and original sketch idea in my notebook for FROST.

An illustration based on the word FROST. Again, drawn, scanned and coloured in photoshop. Once more, I wanted to illustrate something different from the usual vision of snow and Jack Frost. I decided to be a little macabre and have someone writing 'YOU BIT ME' with the finger they lost through FROST BITE. :P

Stage 3: Final illustration - entitled: My notebook doodles. These are various characters I have created throughout my notebooks over the past year. Characters I had ideas for, but never used, so chose to draw some of them together "like a group photo" for amusement and maybe inspire me to use them in future projects. Also my obsession for colour is fully expressed here I think! :)
Stage 2: Colouring in, in photoshop. As you can see, the background is completed first before any attempt on the foreground is tacked has with all my painted work. Although using software enables a faster way to colour - I did take time and great care to make sure all the many colours work together, and I believe I have succeeded in this!

Sage 1: Original drawing - Firstly in pencil and then penned over. Originally drawn to hand paint, but thought that this would be an ideal piece to "brush" up my Photoshop skills gained. So, scanned in and proceeded to commence colourization. :)

The skier who's rubbish. Annoyed with the rough edges, that's because my printer is PANTS. The actual piece as sharp clear lined sides.
 Drawing ready to paint.
 Mid - way.
Original pen sketch in my notebook. I got the idea for the piece whilst out having a coffee, luckily I carry a notebook. As you can see, its more a rough reminder.
First draft of rough sketches. Just trying to see "if" and how it could work as a single piece.
The first idea in the first place came whilst I was out having that coffee and doodling characters for inspiration.. Then I noticed "the skier" and wanted to do something with it...

What began has a bored Friday night Doodle, became this creation of three crazy, odd characters. At first I was going to name it: The sexy Cat legs gang, but have chosen: I love my stupid head! And its just another excuse to go mad with colour, which is the best bit :)
Finished drawing ready to Paint :)
Mid-way through, as you can see, I work from Background to foreground, because I can build on the paint hiding untidy lines... I do enjoy a clean line, Nice and sharp.

Mickey Mouse's glass eye. Its a piece of work I did during the end of the first year at Lincoln University England, but I never scanned the image. So now I finally got round to it, and it looks Great :) Also there is a silly Lord of the Rings tie-in reference. Anyway, hope it makes you smile :)

Say Bazonka everyday, thats what my grandma used to say, it keeps at bay the Asian flu' and your elbows free from glue. So say Bazonka everyday, thats what my Grandma used to say.
Don't say it if your socks are dry! or if the Sun is in your eye!
Never say it in the Dark (the word you see emits a spark).
Only say it in the day (thats what my Grandma used to say).
Young Tiny Tim took her advice he said it once he said it twice, he said it till the day he died,
And even then he tried to say Bazonka everyday, just like my Grandma used to say.
Now folks around declare it's true that everynight at half past two if you'll stand upon your head and shout Bazonka! from your bed you'll hear the word as clear as day just like my Grandma used to say!

My sleeping children are still flying dreams in their goose down heads.
The lush of the river singing morning songs, fish watch their ceiling turn Sun white.
The grey green Pike lances upstream kale, Like Mermaid's hair points the water's drift.
All is morning hush and Bird Beautiful.
I only, I didn't have Flu.

Go away girl, Go away and let me pack my dreams.
Now where did I put those yesteryears made up of broken seams.
Where shall I sweep the pieces, my god they still look new.
There's a taxi waiting at the door, but there's only room for you.
